Thank you for visiting our website. I will be adding updates on Janice "Blu" as well as other members artworks, due to medical issues, I have not been able to update this website, please be patient and know that Blu and I have not forgotten all the friends we met at this website that helped me to help Blu to keep moving forward. Pearl
Originally I began the first webpage ARTWORKS for my daughter Janice Blu with the help of two outstanding individuals both survivors of brain injury;
Sagasha, owner of www.tbichat.org : www.tbihome.org
Toby, owner of Mindmenders.org
As I shared my joy with others, I began to discover the gifted members/survivors/caregivers/friends I had come to know but never saw their artwork. Amazed at the their accomplishments, I wanted the world to see such beauty of the souls within them, so it is I was moved to include the wonderful art of peers that now give me hope to one day see Janice Blu my daughter, again utilize her art skills to the best of her ability as a survivor now of traumatic brain injury.
May you be inspired by the dedication, determination, and struggles of the various survivors of brain injury as we wished to share visual arts we in one way or another have used such artwork to helps us in the recovery process after brain injuries. The artworks shown are some prior to brain injuries and also artworks by those that have embarked in a journey of using their gifts and skills towards their recovery.
To relearn to hold a brush that once came naturally and without thought, pluck at a guitar string, or hold a pencil to write again is to see the beauty of the soul within the artists themselves with Warrior Spirits and Determination towards their new goals and dreams ever so vivid in the mind to make the best of a what is now before us all.
